Product Overview

RFIDSU's Silicone Heat Seal NFC Tags are durable, flexible identification labels molded from 100% silicone rubber, engineered for harsh environments and industrial laundering. Unlike fabric-based NFC tags, these silicone tags offer superior chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance, and a soft tactile finish that is skin-friendly and safe for repeated use.

Each tag is produced via custom mold tooling, allowing full customization of shape, size, thickness, color, and embossed logo — the brand logo or pattern is physically molded into the silicone surface during production, not surface-printed, ensuring it never fades, peels, or wears off. Installation is flexible with two methods: sew-on for fabrics requiring maximum durability, or heat-press for quick, permanent bonding to textiles.

With hot-selling chips including NTAG213, NTAG215, and NTAG424DNA (plus ICODE SLIX and F08 on request), these tags deliver reliable NFC performance through up to 180 industrial wash cycles with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +120°C. Ideal applications include uniforms, workwear, hospital garments, rental linen, and reusable asset tracking in high-temperature or chemically aggressive environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the sew-on version and the heat seal version?
The sew-on version is designed with an edge area for needle penetration, intended to be stitched directly into fabric seams using an industrial sewing machine — ideal for applications requiring maximum attachment strength. The heat seal version is applied via heat press machine (160–180°C, 15–20 seconds) for quick, permanent bonding to textiles — ideal for high-volume production and fabrics that cannot be sewn.
How many wash cycles can these silicone NFC tags withstand?
The silicone construction is tested to withstand up to 180 industrial wash cycles with standard industrial detergents and high-temperature drying, while maintaining full NFC functionality.
Can the brand logo be printed on the surface?
No — and this is intentional. The logo is physically embossed/molded into the silicone during production, making it a permanent part of the tag structure. This means it cannot be scratched off, cannot fade in washing, and cannot peel — unlike surface-printed logos.
Which chip should I choose — NTAG213, NTAG215, or NTAG424DNA?
NTAG213 (144B user memory) is the most widely compatible option for general NFC applications like URL sharing and basic identification. NTAG215 (504B user memory) provides larger memory for storing richer content or longer URLs. NTAG424DNA (416B) adds AES-128 encrypted authentication — recommended for anti-counterfeiting, secure brand verification, and applications requiring cryptographic protection.
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
No. RFIDSU offers customized silicone NFC tags with zero MOQ — single pieces can be produced for prototype testing, though unit pricing is more competitive at larger volumes.
Can these tags operate in extreme temperatures?
Yes. The silicone material and embedded NFC chip are rated for continuous operation from -40°C to +120°C, making them suitable for high-temperature industrial wash, sterilization, and cold storage applications.
