Product Overview

Garbage bins take a beating — rain, heat, vibration and rough handling are part of daily life. Our Garbage Bin RFID Tag is built to survive it all, giving waste-management teams a reliable way to track, identify and audit every container without manual checks.

The tag is sealed in a rugged PA66 or nylon housing with high-temperature epoxy resin, delivering IP68 waterproof protection and shock resistance. A threaded, screw-in body with four drain holes keeps the tag firmly in place while allowing water and debris to pass through, so normal bin use is never interrupted.

With LF, HF and UHF chip options available, the tag fits legacy 125 kHz access systems, modern 13.56 MHz NFC readers and long-range UHF RFID portals. Pre-encoding with serial numbers, URLs or EPC codes is available on request, making rollout fast and consistent across large fleets.

Our Garbage Bin RFID Tags are molded in PA66 or nylon with epoxy resin filling, rated IP68 waterproof and tested from −20°C to 100°C. The threaded body and drain holes prevent water buildup and keep the tag secure through vibration and impact.
Which RFID frequency should I choose?
It depends on your existing system. LF 125 kHz is common for legacy access control, HF 13.56 MHz works with NFC phones and most hand-held readers, while UHF 860–960 MHz gives the longest read range for drive-by collection trucks.
Can the tags be pre-encoded before shipping?
Yes. We offer factory pre-encoding with serial numbers, URL links, TXT or encryption for LF/HF chips, and serial numbers or EPC codes for UHF chips. Just send us your data format.
How is the tag mounted on a bin?
The tag has a threaded body that screws into a pre-drilled hole. The four top holes act as drain/vent openings and also allow visual inspection. Once tightened, the tag sits flush and stays in place during daily use.
What colors and materials are available?
Standard housings come in black or orange. Two material grades are available: PA66 + epoxy resin for general outdoor use, and nylon + epoxy resin for alternative cost options. Custom colors are available for bulk orders.
