Product Overview

Heat press RFID laundry tags are designed for permanent attachment to textiles using a heat press machine. The tags bond directly to fabric at 218°C in 15-20 seconds with minimum 0.6 MPa pressure, creating a secure and durable hold that survives industrial washing, sterilization, and ironing. Built with soft textile material at 1.5mm thickness, the tags remain comfortable against skin even on uniforms and bed linens.

With NXP UCODE 8 or UCODE 9 chips operating at UHF 860-960 MHz, these tags deliver read ranges up to 8 meters (up to 23 feet) with fixed readers and up to 3 meters with handheld readers, enabling efficient bulk scanning of linens, uniforms, and garments. Eight standard sizes are available from 35×15mm to 75×15mm, with custom sizes for specific tracking needs.

These tags withstand 200 industrial wash cycles at up to 90°C, resist all common laundry chemicals including bleach and alkali, and tolerate sterilization at 135°C and ironing at 190°C. Resistant to high temperatures, detergents, chemicals, and mechanical stress, they are widely used in hospitality, healthcare, commercial laundry services, and workwear management.

— INSTALLATION GUIDELINES —
Tag Placement
Personnel Management: Install at the junction of the shoulder and arm.
Hotel Linens: Place in the corners or discrete areas to avoid user detection.
Fabric Production: Install in corners.
RFID Antenna Polarization
Circularly Polarized Antennas: No alignment required with the reader antenna.
Linearly Polarized Antennas: Align the tag's polarization direction with the reader antenna to ensure functionality.

Applications

Hotel Linen Management
Track bed sheets, towels, pillowcases, and table linens through laundry cycles. Reduce losses and automate inventory counts across large hotel properties.
Hospital & Healthcare Uniforms
Monitor medical garments, scrubs, and patient gowns through sterilization cycles. Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and track garment lifespan.
Commercial Laundry Services
Enable bulk sorting and processing of textiles from multiple clients. Automatic RFID identification eliminates manual counting and reduces sorting errors.
Workwear & Military Uniforms
Track uniform lifecycle, replacement schedules, and assignment records across large organizations. Heat press tags survive rugged daily wear and industrial washing.
Textile Manufacturing
Monitor fabric through production stages from weaving to finishing. Track work-in-progress and quality control with permanent UHF RFID identification.
Healthcare Sterilization Tracking
Verify that surgical textiles and hospital linens have completed the sterilization cycle before reuse. Temperature-resistant tags ensure reliable tracking through high-heat processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are heat press RFID laundry tags installed?
Set the heat press machine to 218°C with minimum 0.6 MPa pressure. Place the tag on the fabric and press for 15-20 seconds. The adhesive melts and bonds permanently to the textile. Avoid temperatures below 210°C or pressure below 0.6 MPa, as this may result in poor adhesion.
Can these tags survive industrial washing and sterilization?
Yes. UHF RFID laundry tags are rated for 200 wash cycles at up to 90°C. They withstand sterilization at 135°C, pre-drying at 180°C, ironing at 190°C, and 60 bar water extraction pressure. Resistant to high temperatures, detergents, chemicals, and mechanical stress. Chemical resistance covers all common laundry chemicals including bleach and alkali.
What read range can I expect?
Read range depends on tag size and reader type. With fixed readers, the range can reach up to 8 meters (up to 23 feet). Handheld readers typically achieve 1-3 meters. Larger tags (75×15mm) provide longer read distances due to bigger antenna area.
What is the difference between NXP UCODE 8 and UCODE 9?
UCODE 8 offers EPC 128 bits, TID 96 bits, User 0 bit, suitable for applications requiring larger EPC data storage. UCODE 9 provides EPC 96 bits, TID 96 bits, User 0 bit, optimized for simpler identification tasks with a smaller chip footprint. Both share the same UHF 860-960 MHz frequency and ISO 18000-6C protocol.
Can I print barcodes or QR codes on the tags?
Yes. The white textile surface supports barcode, QR code, serial number, and text printing. QR codes are commonly used for visual verification alongside RFID scanning, providing a dual-identification system for laundry operations.
What sizes are available?
Eight standard sizes: 35×15mm, 40×15mm, 55×12mm, 58×15mm, 70×10mm, 70×15mm, 70×18mm, and 75×15mm. Custom sizes are available upon request. All tags are 1.5mm thick. Choose larger sizes for longer read ranges, or smaller sizes for discreet placement on garments.
